With the draw against England on Tuesday (14) night at Wembley, the Brazil National Team rounded off its 2017 season. The match ended a year with an extremely encouraging record for Brazil.
In all, the Brazil National Team played 11 matches in 2017, including the Friendship Match against Colombia, which only featured players who played in either country.
In the 11 matches it played, Brazil won seven, drew three and lost only one. Coach Tite’s squad scored 21 goals and suffered only four this season.
It was also in 2017 that Brazil secured its place at the 2018 World Cup in Russia. Brazil booked its spot for the tournament still early in the year, in the first FIFA date, and with four rounds ahead of time. Moreover, the national team managed to finish first in the tournament standings.
The Brazil National Team already has two matches scheduled for 2018. It will face Russia, who will host next year's World Cup, on March 23 in Moscow. Thereafter, on the 27th, the opponent will be Germany in Berlin.
