Shortly after the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia draw ended on Friday (1) in Moscow, coach Tite had a quick chat with CBF’s website. In the event, Brazil was drawn in Group E, along with Switzerland, Costa Rica and Serbia.

“Even more so than just evaluating the group, I always take into account the team’s progress and consolidation. They are tough opponents and that is why they are here. If we compare them with squads that failed to qualify, you get a picture of how strong the teams that made it are”, the coach stated.

Addressing not only Group E and the Brazil National Team, Tite also spoke about the other groups. He believes that this World Cup in Russia is already quite level.

"Generally speaking, the groups are very well laid out. The ranking itself takes care of this. The matches will pose a high degree of difficulty, because this is a World Cup. Nevertheless, regardless of the groups, our drive will always be to do our best”, he concluded.

During the draw, Tite was joined by Edu Gaspar, the National Teams’ Coordinator, in addition to supervisor Luis Vagner, manager Hamilton Corrêa, Aloíso Rocha, Head of Security, and Fernando Sarney, CBF Vice President, who is also a member of the FIFA Council.
