Olyroos draw 1-1 with Iraq

A stunning goal courtesy of a free kick from Wellington Phoenix winger Reno Piscopo was not enough to secure a win for the Olyroos in their game against Irag at the TAFC U-23 Championship in Thailand.

The game ended at 1-1 when Mohammad Qasem scored for Iraq after Australia had taken the lead just after the hour mark.

The Olyroos play Thailand in their next game of the tournament with the host team getting off to a great start with an impressive defeat of Bahrain 5-0 in their Group A's match.

The Olyroos game with Thailand will be on Sunday at the Rajamangala Stadium in Bangkok.
