Olyroos draw 1-1 against Bahrain

The Olyroos 1-1 draw in their final group game with Bahrain has seen the team go through to the last eight of AFC U-23 Championship.

If the Olyroos can win their next two games at the AFC U-23 Championship they will secure a place at the Olympics for the first time since 2008.

The draw with Bahrain at Thammasat Stadium in Bangkok took Australia to the top their group and the team hss ass now advanced to the quarter-finals alongside tournament hosts Thailand.

With one win and two draws Australia were unbeaten in Group A.

The Olyroos will play against Syria, Saudi Arabia or Qatar at Bangkok's Rajamangala Stadium on Saturday (Sunday AEDT) and proceed to the semi-finals with a win.
