Sydney FC are firmly at the top of the A-League after 12 rounds and with a nine point buffer on second placed Melbourne City after a 2-1 home win over the Victorian team.

Sydney went a man down mid-way into the first half after Socceroos fullback Rhyan Grant was sent off for a late studs-up tackle.

Sydney FC then came from a goal down to win the game with goals from Adam Le Fondre and Kosta Barbarouses.
