Phoenix extend their winning streak in Wellington

The Wellington Phoenix have defeated the Central Coast Mariners 2-1 to extend their winning streak and cement the team in the top six of the A-League.

Phoenix established a lead early in the first half courtesy of a 13th minute goal to Gary Hooper and then scored a second goal in the 29th via a David Ball strike from the edge of the box.

The teams went into the break at 2-1 after an own/goal by by Wellington and the scored remained the same for the remainder of the match.
