Ben Warland renews contract with Sydney FC

Postby admin » Thu Oct 11, 2018 10:19 pm

Ben Warland has renewed his contract with Sydney FC for two more seasons.

The 22-year-old's re-signing will keep him in the Harbour City until at least the end of the Hyundai A-League 2020/21 campaign.

It comes off the back of a strong pre-season from the centre back, who scored first goal for the club in August's FFA Cup Round of 32 victory against Rockdale City Suns.

Warland said he was pleased to commit to the Sky Blues and is looking forward to playing a role in Steve Corica's new era.

“Sydney FC are a fantastic club and I have definitely enjoyed my time here so far after joining midway through last season,” he told Sydney FC's official website.

“The Sky Blues are ushering in a new era, and I’m excited at the potential here and to be a part of what the club is building.

“I’d like to thank everyone involved at the club for giving me an opportunity to stay here for an extra two seasons, as well as all the members and fans who have welcomed me with open arms since joining the club."
